Project Outline
The Gorge Waterway Community Centre was a concept project completed as my final term project. My emphasis was on the exterior rendering, and shaping the building around the lot's existing bike and footpaths - as well as ensuring access to the docks below.
The building contains a theatre, a library, an art gallery, and multiple conference rooms, classrooms, art studios, and offices; as well as some coffee shops and cafeterias. I brought green space into the buildings by incorporating courtyards and gardens throughout and adding skylights to maximize natural light.
