The Arts Building

The Arts Building is home to the Art Gallery, Giftshop, Painting Studio, Ceramics Studio, a few offices, and a coffee shop.

The building shares a courtyard with the Learning Building and an outdoor patio space with the Community Building.

Both outdoor spaces have access to the bike/walk path, as well as access to the docks below. I incorporated the patios and courtyards with the hopes that people passing through to get to the docks would feel inclined to linger and spend some time lounging on the patios.

As for the offices, I added slats over the windows, allowing them to open or close them for added privacy.

​

The Gallery is raised to allow for the bike path to run underneath, unobstructed.
