TMNT HOUSE 

For this project, I was tasked with designing a home for the characters from the movie, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was told to watch the movie, and create a home that would suit the needs of the turtles. I gathered inspiration from traditional Japanese architecture and put a modern spin on it. I wanted the living portion of the home to be sophisticated and mature. with minimal fixtures and additives. The 'Turtle Cave' however, was their space to practice, create, and hangout. In addition to the creative process, I was sure to make the house functional for the abnormally sized characters. I made hallways 5' wide, and increased door size to 3'6" x 7'6". Ceiling heights were also increased to 10' throughout the home.
